Meeting with General Secretary and President of China Xi Jinping , General Secretary To Lam emphasized that Vietnam is ready to work with China to effectively implement the high-level common perceptions and the Vietnam-China Joint Statements, and continuously promote the deepening of the Comprehensive Strategic Cooperative Partnership and the Vietnam-China Community of Shared Future with strategic significance in the direction of "6 more".

General Secretary To Lam suggested that the two sides promote substantive cooperation, especially railway connection, actively expand new fields, and turn science and technology cooperation and digital transformation into new bright spots and new growth drivers of Vietnam-China relations. In particular, he suggested that China actively support Vietnam in training human resources in science and technology.

The General Secretary hoped that both sides would promote healthy and stable trade development, and that China would further expand its imports of agricultural, aquatic and other goods from Vietnam.
