Phu Luong: Nearly 900 households receive preferential loans

As of April 30, the total capital assigned to the Phu Luong District Social Policy Bank for management was 524.3 billion VND, an increase of 17.8 billion VND compared to the end of 2024. Of which, the capital provided by the Central Government was 449.7 billion VND, the local entrusted capital was 24 billion VND and 50.4 billion VND of mobilized capital was subsidized by the Central Government for interest rate.

The family of Ms. To Thi Phuong (in Lan 1 residential group, Du town, Phu Luong) has just built a new sanitation facility using clean water and rural environmental sanitation loan capital from the Phu Luong District Social Policy Bank.

Total outstanding loans for policy credit programs as of May 8 reached VND524 billion, with 892 households receiving loans, with an average outstanding loan of VND57 million/household.

Programs with high outstanding loans include: support for job creation, job maintenance and expansion (VND127.4 billion); clean water and environmental sanitation (VND145.1 billion); and households newly escaping poverty (VND61.6 billion).

According to the assessment, in addition to positive results, overdue debt is still 254.9 million VND (accounting for 0.05% of total outstanding debt), frozen debt is 107.7 million VND. Phu Luong District Social Policy Bank has coordinated with local authorities and mass organizations to review and complete documents to handle overdue debt and remaining interest; actively urge the handling of newly arising overdue debt...
