The streets were bustling.
The bustling sounds of construction machinery mingled with the chatter of locals along both sides of the road, everyone eagerly awaiting the completion of the Rach Goi Lon road in Trung Thanh hamlet. The new road, nearly 2.5km long, is paved, replacing the old section which was full of potholes and bumps, making travel difficult. This change not only brings a more modern and convenient appearance to the lives of the people but is also a meaningful project, demonstrating the spirit of unity and determination to build a civilized and modern homeland.

Due to prolonged use, many sections of the road have seriously deteriorated, with numerous potholes, making travel difficult for residents, especially students. Residents long for a clean, well-maintained road. In response to this, the People's Committee of My Thoi Ward unanimously agreed to repair and upgrade the entire route. Expressing his joy at contributing to the road repair, Mr. Dang Van Tam, a resident of Trung Thanh hamlet, said: “Everyone in the hamlet is dedicating a little time to help so that the road can be completed soon, making travel safer for everyone and safer for the children going to school.”
Many local residents also pitched in. Mr. Nguyen Van Tinh, a resident of My Phu hamlet, Long Xuyen ward, shared: “I am very happy that the road is being repaired and upgraded. I arranged my time to help everyone.”
The dynamism of youth
Activities demonstrating the principle of remembering one's roots and giving back to the community were enthusiastically carried out by the youth of My Thoi ward. Ward youth union members actively participated in many activities such as: launching a general environmental sanitation campaign, cleaning up My Thoi park; coordinating with the Ward Military Command to repaint 20 rural concrete bridges, contributing to ensuring urban aesthetics and traffic safety for the people. Le Thanh Nhan, a student at An Giang University, shared: “We constantly strive to improve ourselves, contribute, and live responsibly towards our homeland and country to be worthy and useful successors for the future. Participating in these activities makes us happy because we can contribute a small part of our efforts to building a more modern, environmentally friendly, and civilized locality.”
