Male singer sings hit song with 3 billion views on April 30: Difficult past, once shouldered debt for mother

During the recent parade to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification, Dong Hung and Vo Ha Tram performed the song " Continuing the Story of Peace" .

Bearing the debt of tens of billions of dong for mother

Before having the honor of performing at the April 30th ceremony, Dong Hung had participated in many prestigious events. In major programs in Hanoi and the provinces, the male singer had shared the stage with veteran artists such as People's Artist Quang Tho, People's Artist Thanh Hoa... He currently works at the Thang Long Music and Dance Theater.

Dong Hung's full name is Nguyen Dong Hung, born in 1993 in Hung Yen . Born into a family with no artistic tradition, the male singer showed his talent from a young age.

In 2012, he started to gain attention when he entered the top 3 of Sao Mai Diem Hen. Dong Hung's name became more known to the audience when he entered the top 4 of Vietnam Idol 2014. His masculine appearance and powerful voice are the attractive points of the singer born in 1993.

Despite his impressive career, Dong Hung has experienced family turmoil. In 2017, he surprised everyone when he revealed that he was paying off his mother's debt of 28 billion VND.

Dong Hung once said that when he competed in Vietnam Idol 2014 , creditors came to the stage to demand money when he was only 21 years old. Once, he posted a photo of his hand full of injuries, stitched up after a fight with a group of people at home over his mother's debt.

After the competition, he negotiated with his creditors to reduce interest and sold his house in Hanoi to live in Ho Chi Minh City, reducing his debt to 17 - 18 billion VND.

Dong Hung once had to shoulder a debt of tens of billions of dong for his mother.

There was a time when Dong Hung took on shows from morning to night to earn money. Several times, as soon as he got off stage, he read messages from creditors. That was a very difficult time for him.

"There was a day when I went to sing and the creditor sat below. What helped me overcome it was the peace of my family, the safety of my parents and the desire for my younger brother to go to school normally. I was also under pressure because I clearly had a responsibility and because I loved my mother.

Seeing my mother facing such things is unbearable, so I try to do everything to make her feel more secure and at ease," he once shared.

To pay off his mother's debt, the male singer worked hard to sing everywhere for many years. Luckily, the money was paid off in a few years.

A fulfilling life after the incident

In 2020, Dong Hung married his wife Minh Anh, who is 6 years younger than him. His wife is his manager and arranges his work. Talking about his wife, Dong Hung once confided that his colleagues often said that he had a "golden nugget" by his side.

The biggest change for the male singer was when his family welcomed a new member. The appearance of the little princess made him think more about his family. If before, after performing, the male singer could gather with friends, now he wants to spend time with his family.

Dong Hung shared that getting married and having children was a big milestone that made him change a lot. After 10 years, the male singer's life has changed a lot, he has a wife, children, and his first house. This is the greatest achievement of a man.

He is satisfied to have a wonderful companion, to share peaceful moments, warm moments with the whole family.

"I have gone through many milestones in my life. But the most memorable milestone in my life is getting married and having children. My wife has been with me through many difficult times. Without her encouragement and support, I certainly would not be where I am today," he confided.

Looking back, Dong Hung is grateful for everything he has gone through to get to where he is today. He is grateful that every morning he wakes up knowing what he needs to strive for.

"If I were to define the word 'happiness', for me happiness is knowing 'enough'. My current life is enough. Now I can fly freely in my music, and I don't want to know where I will go, just go and it will become the road," the male singer confided.
