'Nam Dinh has become a dynamically developing province'

During his lifetime, Uncle Ho always paid special attention to the local revolutionary movement, including Nam Dinh province - the cradle of the 20th century workers' movement. From 1946 to 1963, Nam Dinh welcomed President Ho Chi Minh to visit five times.

His teachings are a precious spiritual heritage.

In his speech at the ceremony, Secretary of Nam Dinh Provincial Party Committee Pham Gia Tuc said that this shows his deep concern and affection for Nam Dinh province, which will forever be the honor and pride of the Party Committee and people of the province.

During his visits and working visits, Uncle Ho always kindly instructed and deeply advised the need to unite, promote the vanguard and exemplary spirit of the cadres and party members; focus on party building; Party committees at all levels need to focus on party development, consolidate party cells, promote criticism and self-criticism within the party. At the same time, it is necessary to promote the patriotic emulation movement and comprehensively carry out political tasks, promote the advantages of the province such as agricultural production and textile industry...

The Secretary of Nam Dinh Provincial Party Committee affirmed: "His teachings are a valuable spiritual heritage, a compass for the Party Committee, government, army and people of Nam Dinh to successfully carry out political tasks, build and develop a rich and civilized province as Uncle Ho always wished when he visited and attended the 5th Provincial Party Congress".

Following Uncle Ho's teachings, the Party Committee, government and people of Nam Dinh province have constantly strived to promote the glorious tradition of their homeland, united to overcome all difficulties and challenges, joined hands to successfully complete all political tasks in the revolutionary stages, achieved many great achievements, and made important contributions to the cause of national liberation and construction of the homeland.

In 2022, the province's economy continued to develop, with some indicators increasing. In particular, the National Target Program on New Rural Construction achieved many outstanding results. Nam Dinh is one of the first two provinces in the country to reach the new rural finish line. The cultural and social fields are cared for and continue to achieve many new achievements.

The Education and Training sector has been among the top in the country in terms of education quality for nearly 30 consecutive years. Many tangible and intangible cultural heritages have been recognized as national monuments. Social security is ensured; the material and spiritual life of the people continues to improve.

National defense, political security, and social order and safety are always maintained. Party building and political system building are increasingly consolidated, innovated, and disciplined...

Secretary Pham Gia Tuc shared that the Party Committee, government and people of Nam Dinh will always remember Uncle Ho's teachings as motivation and belief, continue to promote the spirit of solidarity, self-reliance and self-improvement, create new breakthroughs and resilience.

The face of Nam Dinh province is changing day by day.

Speaking at the ceremony, President Vo Van Thuong emphasized that Nam Dinh - a land of thousands of years of culture, "a land of talented people" rich in historical traditions, love of learning, culture, patriotism and revolution. The homeland of many talented people, famous generals, writers and outstanding leaders. This place also preserves many unique traditional cultural values, strong vitality with customs, beliefs, festivals, craft villages, historical and cultural relics.

The President said that Nam Dinh welcomed Uncle Ho to visit five times, which took place at different times but all showed his love and care for the people and comrades of the province.

From the first visit (January 10, 1946) to the last (May 21, 1963), Uncle Ho's teachings became a compass, a source of great spiritual strength, encouraging the people and army of Nam Dinh to overcome all difficulties and hardships, unite as one, strive to achieve many great achievements.

The President reviewed important milestones in history that the Party Committee, government, army and people of Nam Dinh have achieved from the war to the renovation process.

In recent years, Nam Dinh's economic growth rate has been higher than the national average. From a purely agricultural province, industry and services now account for more than 80% of the economic structure. In particular, Nam Dinh is also one of the first two localities in the country to complete the new rural construction program.

Economic infrastructure has been invested and upgraded, and many key projects have been completed and put into use. Cultural and social fields have been taken care of, many cultural heritages have been preserved and promoted, and social security has been ensured. The quality of education has been among the top in the country for 28 consecutive years, and the material and spiritual life of the people has been constantly improved.

The President believes that Nam Dinh province will better implement Uncle Ho's teachings.

The work of building and rectifying the Party and the political system has achieved many results; political security and social order and safety have been maintained, creating a favorable environment for socio-economic development.

"Nam Dinh today has become one of the dynamically developing provinces of the Red River Delta. From villages, rural areas to streets and cities, its appearance is changing day by day, becoming more beautiful than before, imbued with its identity, creating new vitality and new momentum," the President expressed his joy at the province's achievements.

In addition to the achievements, the President said that there are still many concerns and worries, and that more efforts are needed to be more worthy of Uncle Ho's expectations for Nam Dinh province. The 60th anniversary of Uncle Ho's visit is an opportunity to review and give more strength to the province to strive to complete the set goals and tasks.

The President suggested: "Nam Dinh should be more proactive and creative, promote all potential strengths and resources to develop socio-economic development, and strive to implement Uncle Ho's teachings: Nam Dinh is a province with fertile land, rich resources, and hard-working people, with many potentials to become a truly rich province ."

The President said that it is necessary to focus on shifting the economic structure associated with renewing the growth model towards promoting the application of science and technology, associated with innovation and increasing labor productivity. Pay more attention to investing in agriculture, farmers and rural areas, continue to effectively implement the construction of new rural areas associated with urbanization to ensure substance, efficiency and sustainability...

The province needs to mobilize all resources, resolve bottlenecks, improve the investment and business environment, enhance competitiveness, accelerate investment progress, build synchronous and modern infrastructure. Develop Ninh Co economic zone to become a dynamic economic region, a growth pole in the South of the province.

The President also noted that it is necessary to pay attention to resource management, environmental protection, climate change response, disease and natural disaster prevention, "which must be considered a vital issue for the province's development".
