Hanoi City currently has 4 specialized high schools (Hanoi - Amsterdam, Chu Van An, Nguyen Hue, Son Tay) that only enroll students in specialized classes.
According to the plan approved by the Hanoi People's Committee, in the 2025-2026 school year, each student can register to enroll in specialized 10th grade classes at 2 of the 4 specialized schools mentioned above.

Students can apply for the same major at two schools, but must prioritize their first choice and second choice in order.
Students can register for different specialized subjects of 2 schools, provided that the exam dates for those specialized subjects do not overlap.
Regarding the conditions for admission to specialized grade 10, according to Hanoi city regulations, students (or their parents or guardians) must have permanent residence in Hanoi; the learning and training results (academic performance and conduct) of the entire school year of junior high school must be good or higher.
