11-year-old boy kneels and begs for mercy but is still brutally beaten by a group of friends

(Dan Tri) - A video shared on Facebook shows an 11-year-old male student in Binh Dinh crying, kneeling and begging but still being brutally beaten by a group of friends.

On June 10, the leader of the People's Committee of Vinh Thanh district, Binh Dinh province confirmed that Vinh Quang commune police had intervened to handle the case of an 11-year-old student in the area being assaulted by a group of friends.

After the incident, leaders of Vinh Thanh district and related agencies promptly visited and encouraged B. and his family.

Previously, on June 7, Facebook account “Nguyen Hung Vuong” posted a clip recording a scene of a boy being brutally beaten by a group of friends, causing a stir in public opinion.

Mr. Nguyen Hung Vuong, residing in Vinh Quang commune, Vinh Thanh district, owner of the above account, confirmed that the victim in the incident was his son, NGB (11 years old, 5th grade student, Vinh Quang Primary School).

According to Mr. Vuong, his son is in a state of panic and sleeplessness due to severe mental trauma. The victim’s family expressed their grief and asked the authorities to strictly handle this hooliganism.

The video shows that even though the victim was kneeling and begging, the group of three male students continued to beat and kick him. One male student in a black shirt even used a long stick to beat B.

The incident, after being posted and widely shared on social networks, attracted great public attention, with many opinions expressing outrage at the brutal violence of the group of students.

According to Vinh Quang Commune Police, through initial verification, the incident stemmed from a previous conflict. Three students TAQ, NTD, and D.QK (all 13 years old, residing in Vinh Quang Commune, 7th grade students at Vinh Quang Secondary School) assaulted B twice.

The incidents occurred on June 3 and June 5 at an empty lot in Dinh Xuan village, Vinh Quang commune. This group of students used their hands, feet, and a 3cm diameter acacia tree to beat student B.

A representative of Vinh Quang Commune Police informed that B. suffered soft tissue and skin injuries and his health has stabilized but he is still suffering from severe psychological effects. The unit has worked with the 3 students involved and is consolidating the records to have appropriateeducational and deterrent measures.

The commune police also advised people not to post or share false information about the incident to avoid negatively affecting the students involved and the local security and order situation.

Recently, in Binh Dinh province, there have been many cases of students being beaten and assaulted by friends, causing public outrage.

The Chairman of Binh Dinh Provincial People's Committee has issued a document assigning the Department of Education and Training to coordinate with localities and related units to check the content of the information reported by the press.

Binh Dinh provincial leaders require strict handling of responsibilities for related groups and individuals (if any).
