Male student riding motorbike crashes into the back of a reversing truck

(Dan Tri) - The situation in the clip is a typical example of the "where there's space, there's room" traffic style of many motorbike riders today.

The incident is said to have taken place on December 20 on National Highway 2A, through Thanh Xuan commune, Soc Son district, Hanoi .

According to the image recorded by the dashcam of the car behind, the truck was reversing at a fairly slow speed into a roadside store, with its emergency lights on to warn of danger, but the male student on the motorbike still rushed forward, trying to squeeze past the back of the truck.

Miscalculation of speed and distance caused the male student to be stuck between the truck and a roadside sign.

The above situation shows the carelessness and lack of safe driving skills of the motorcyclist. Firstly, using only one hand to control the vehicle while the other hand is in the pocket makes the motorcyclist slow in handling the situation.

Second, even though the truck was reversing, the motorcyclist still tried to squeeze into the space behind the truck. This is extremely dangerous because when reversing without someone standing behind to help "clear the way", the truck driver cannot observe obstacles at the rear of the vehicle.
