Improving the capacity of university lecturers in scientific research - entrepreneurship - innovation

Vinh Long University of Technical Education organized a workshop to enhance the role of lecturers in guiding students in research, innovation and entrepreneurship – factors that are becoming increasingly important in the current context of higher education.

On the afternoon of July 4, Vinh Long University of Technical Education (VLUTE) organized a workshop and training session with the theme "Improving the capacity of lecturers in guiding students in scientific research - entrepreneurship - innovation".

The program has the participation of many experts from research institutes, technology enterprises, representatives of leaders of departments, branches, associations and high schools in Vinh Long province (including Vinh Long, Ben Tre and old Tra Vinh provinces).

At the workshop, the speakers shared practical and updated content on the connection between scientific research in universities and innovative start-up activities. Notably, successful models in transferring research results into practical products, thereby forming highly feasible start-up projects.

The speakers also pointed out that although R&D activities (abbreviation: Research and Development), technological innovation and scientific research have different goals, they all contribute to creating new values ​​and need to be understood correctly to choose the appropriate implementation method in the educational environment. In addition to providing basic knowledge, the reporters also guided the preparation of profiles to participate in scientific and startup playgrounds for students in 2025.

In particular, detailed instructions on how to build a topic, how to write a profile and complete the registration procedure to participate in the "Tran Dai Nghia Science and Technology Innovation" contest; introducing the application process to participate in the "Vinh Long Province Startup Project Ideas 2025" contest, are two large playgrounds with high academic and application value for students.

Within the framework of the program, experts and lecturers discussed and highlighted many common difficulties in guiding students in research, from choosing topics to supporting the implementation and defending ideas before the review board. The experiences shared at the program partly resolved the difficulties, at the same time adding motivation to the teaching staff in the process of accompanying students.
