Improving professional capacity for women's union officials at all levels

On May 26, the Provincial Women's Union held a conference to review the Project "Training Women's Union officials at all levels and women's union leaders" for the period 2019-2025.

Pursuant to Decision No. 1893/QD-TTg dated December 31, 2018 of the Prime Minister on approving the Project "Training of Women's Union officials at all levels and women's union heads for the period 2019-2025", the Provincial Women's Union issued documents directing 12/12 districts, towns and cities to develop plans to implement the Project, in accordance with the actual conditions of each locality. Regularly urge and guide Women's Unions at all levels on implementing the Project at the grassroots level.

Conference overview.

In the period of 2019-2025, the Women's Union at all levels organized 100 training courses to update the professional knowledge of the union and social work for 5,945 chairmen, vice chairmen, reserve staff, chairmen of the Women's Union at the grassroots level, full-time union staff at the provincial and district levels; branch heads and deputy branch heads of branches and women's groups.

The Women's Unions of districts, cities and towns proactively review subjects who have not met the title standards and are eligible for training to participate in training classes of the district and higher-level unions; coordinate with political centers at the same level to organize specialized training classes, political theory, etc.

Through the implementation of the Project, knowledge and professional skills of the association have been promptly provided, thereby proactively building programs and plans for association work in localities and units to carry out emulation movements and tasks of the association in the right direction, close to the reality of the grassroots, achieving high efficiency, contributing to the successful implementation of resolutions of women's congresses at all levels.

In the coming time, the Women's Union at all levels will continue to review and advise on plans to organize training courses, workshops, and professional development. Strive that in the period of 2026-2031, 100% of Women's Union officials and civil servants will be trained and updated on professional knowledge of Women's Union work, social work, and specialized skills according to position and job; 100% of Women's Union chairmen at the commune level and at least 30% of those planned for the position of Women's Union chairmen at the commune level will be trained in professional knowledge of Women's Union work, social work; 100% of specialized Union officials at the provincial and commune levels will be proficient in using basic software in Women's Union work, etc.

On this occasion, the Provincial Women's Union awarded certificates of merit to 8 collectives and 20 individuals with outstanding achievements in implementing the Project "Training Women's Union officials at all levels and women's union leaders" for the period 2019-2025.
