The Russian Defense Ministry announced the destruction of 20 UAVs that entered its airspace, many of which were aimed at the capital Moscow.
"The Ukrainian government attempted to use unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) to launch terrorist attacks on multiple targets in Russia, but this plan was prevented. Air defense forces destroyed 11 UAVs in the skies over Moscow, Tula, Kaluga and Bryansk regions," the Russian Defense Ministry said today.
More intrusions into Russian airspace were recorded during the day. As of 8:00 a.m. on November 26 (12:00 p.m. Hanoi time), the total number of UAVs shot down by Russian air defense was 20.
Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin said the drone attack was large-scale. Several aircraft targeting the capital were shot down while flying over the Naro Fominsk and Odintsovsky districts in the suburbs and the Podolsk metropolitan area. The explosions did not cause casualties or material damage.

Meanwhile, Bryansk Governor Alexander Bogomaz said at least two UAVs were shot down in the province's skies.
Ukrainian officials have not commented on the information.
Russia has accused Ukraine of repeatedly using UAVs to attack cities and towns. The Kremlin said the failed counter-offensive campaign had led Ukraine to "despair and commit terrorist attacks" against civilians and public facilities on Russian territory.
The incident occurred a day after Russia launched a record-breaking airstrike on Ukraine with 75 UAVs, with the main attack direction being Kiev. Ukrainian air defenses claimed to have successfully intercepted 74 of the aircraft, but still recorded property damage and civilian casualties due to debris.
The Ukrainian Energy Ministry said the raid left 120 infrastructure facilities and 77 civilian buildings in central Kiev without power.
