According to a VNA correspondent in Moscow, on July 15, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin signed a decree on the development of a multifunctional information exchange service, assigning the company “Communication Platform” - a subsidiary of VK Technology Group, to be responsible for operating and developing a national messaging application called “Max.”
According to the Russian Ministry of Digital Development, the entire infrastructure of the Max platform will be located in the country to ensure reliable data storage and protect user privacy. The application has already attracted more than 2 million registered users.
Since July 14, Max has started testing the channel creation feature, while also providing group video calling services, with no limits on duration and number of participants.
The app representative said that group calling features will continue to be expanded in the future.
Many large Russian corporations and businesses such as Alfa Bank, VTB, Sber's artificial intelligence platform Gigachat, Ozon and YClients have also integrated services on Max.
Previously, on June 24, President Vladimir Putin signed a law to license the development of a national messaging application after it was approved by the National Assembly .
According to the plan, this application will be a secure online communication channel for Russian citizens, as well as government agencies, and integrate public services on one platform./.
