Music and light light up the pride of the capital after the success of the 18th Congress

On the evening of October 17, at Dong Kinh Nghia Thuc Square (Hoan Kiem Ward), a special art program "Hanoi - Thousand-year spirit, rising to shine" took place.

This is one of the activities to celebrate the success of the 18th Hanoi Party Congress, term 2025-2030.

The program was organized by the Hanoi City Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, to honor the historical traditions, culture, and people of the Capital - a land of thousands of years of civilization, where the quintessence and aspirations for development converge.

The program spreads new spirit and new motivation throughout the entire Party, people and army of the Capital; at the same time, it arouses pride, sense of responsibility and aspiration to reach higher and further in every citizen of Hanoi. This is an opportunity to contribute to educating traditions, lighting the fire of spreading national pride, fostering the spirit of great national unity, arousing the will, responsibility to contribute and love for the homeland in every citizen of the Capital, especially the young generation.

The theme “Hanoi - Thousand-year spirit, rising to shine” contains a message of intersection between traditional and modern values, and at the same time inspires: Hanoi enters a new era, an era of innovative thinking, creativity, and a strong desire to rise, affirming its leading role in international integration and sustainable development.

The program is structured into 3 chapters. The opening chapter recreates the heroic historical journey of Hanoi and the city's Party Committee - from the early days of the revolution until the country was reunited. This is also an epic song praising the Party and beloved President Ho Chi Minh.

This is also a deep gratitude to the generations who have devoted themselves on all fronts: from ideology, politics, administration to building and protecting the Capital.

Chapter II opens a panoramic picture of Hanoi today - a capital with a thousand years of culture, heroic in combat, creative in construction, gradually affirming its new appearance: Culture - civilization - modernity - prosperity - happiness.

It is a city of international-scale projects, of pioneering science and technology, of cultural creativity integrating with the world, but still preserving the soul of Thang Long - Hanoi.

Likewise, the people of Hanoi today carry within themselves a spirit of great determination, endless creativity, solidarity and a desire to break through.
