Attending the conference were representatives of the Provincial Election Committee, including comrade Tong Thanh Hai - Member of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial Election Committee; representing the Provincial People's Council Standing Committee was comrade Nguyen Sy Canh - Member of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; the convened delegates were comrades in the Standing Committee of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, representatives of the leaders of the member organizations of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front, representatives of the leaders of the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of the communes and wards.
Speaking at the opening of the Conference, Comrade Sung A Ho - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee emphasized: The election of deputies to the 16th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels for the 2026 - 2031 term is an important political event of the country to select and elect typical representatives, worthy of representing the will, aspirations and mastery of the People in the National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels for the new term; actively contributing to the building, consolidation and perfection of the socialist rule of law State of the People, by the People, for the People, under the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam . In the current context, the province is making efforts to implement the Resolution of the 14th Provincial Party Congress, promoting cultural, socio-economic development, ensuring national defense and security and improving the quality of people's lives. In particular, continuing to consolidate and perfect the organizational and operational model of the two-level local government requires a team of National Assembly and People's Council deputies who are truly exemplary in quality and capacity, with enough "heart" and "vision" to represent the will and aspirations of voters and people, contributing to bringing the policies and resolutions of the Party and State into life.
The first consultation conference plays a particularly important role, being the initial and preliminary step to plan the structure, composition, and number of candidates to be nominated for the 16th National Assembly and the Provincial People's Council for the 2026-2031 term by political organizations, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, socio-political organizations, social organizations, People's armed forces units, state agencies at the same provincial level, and public service units, economic organizations, and commune-level administrative units.
At the Conference, Comrade Nguyen Sy Canh - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council presented the National Assembly Standing Committee's plan on the structure, composition, and number of people from political organizations, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, socio-political organizations, social organizations, State agencies, and local People's Armed Forces units to be nominated as candidates for the 16th National Assembly.
At the Conference, the delegates focused on research, promoting intelligence, ensuring democracy, objectivity, and compliance with the law; at the same time, negotiating and reaching an agreement by voting with 100% of the delegates present at the Conference agreeing: The total number of elected National Assembly deputies is 7; of which 4 are deputies residing and working in the locality; 3 are deputies introduced by the Central Government and agreed on a combined structure introduced by localities to run for the 16th National Assembly and Provincial People's Council deputies for the 2026 - 2031 term.
Concluding the Conference, Comrade Sung A Ho - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee affirmed: The results achieved at today's consultation conference are the close coordination between the Provincial Election Committee, the Standing Committee of the People's Council, the Provincial People's Committee in preparing the contents for the Conference to take place in accordance with regulations. Immediately after the Conference, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee will promptly complete the Conference Minutes and send them to the National Election Council, the National Assembly Standing Committee, the Standing Committee of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and the Provincial Election Committee, the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council within the prescribed time.
