Vietnam attracts 33.69 billion USD of FDI capital in 11 months

According to the General Statistics Office, 3,695 projects were licensed with registered capital reaching 15.96 billion USD, up 21.7% over the same period last year in terms of number of projects and down 8.2% in terms of registered capital.

Of which, the processing and manufacturing industry was newly licensed with the largest foreign direct investment, with registered capital reaching 9.17 billion USD, accounting for 57.5% of the total newly registered capital; real estate business activities reached 3.14 billion USD, accounting for 19.7%; the remaining industries reached 3.65 billion USD, accounting for 22.8%.

Among 88 countries and territories with newly licensed investment projects in Vietnam in the past 11 months, Singapore is the largest investor with 4.29 billion USD, accounting for 26.9% of the total newly registered capital.

Regarding adjusted registered capital, 1,318 licensed projects from previous years registered to increase investment capital by 11.62 billion USD, up 17% over the same period last year.

If including newly registered capital and adjusted registered capital of licensed projects from previous years, foreign direct investment capital registered in the processing and manufacturing industry reached 16.52 billion USD, accounting for 59.9% of the total newly registered and increased capital; real estate business activities reached 5.72 billion USD, accounting for 20.7%; the remaining industries reached 5.34 billion USD, accounting for 19.4%.

In addition, 3,225 foreign investors registered to contribute capital and buy shares, with a total capital contribution value of 6.11 billion USD, an increase of 50.7% over the same period last year.

Foreign direct investment realized in Vietnam in the first 11 months of 2025 is estimated at 23.6 billion USD, up 8.9% over the same period last year; of which, the processing and manufacturing industry reached 19.56 billion USD, accounting for 82.9% of total realized foreign direct investment.

Regarding Vietnam's investment abroad, in the first 11 months of 2025, 148 projects were newly granted investment certificates with a total capital of 742.8 million USD from Vietnam, an increase of 33.8% over the same period last year; there were 28 projects with adjusted capital with an increase of 358.2 million USD, 8.2 times.

In total, Vietnam's total investment capital abroad (newly granted and adjusted capital) reached 1.1 billion USD, an increase of 83.9% over the same period last year.

In 11 months, 36 countries and territories received investment from Vietnam; of which Laos was the leading country with 590.3 million USD, accounting for 53.6% of total investment capital.
