The city's health sector believes thateducational institutions are high-risk environments for disease outbreaks due to the large concentration of children, including those who do not have sufficient protective immunity (have not been vaccinated or have not received enough doses), accumulated from many different age groups.
To proactively control and prevent epidemics, especially COVID-19 and other infectious diseases, the Hai Phong Department of Health requested the Department of Education and Training to direct educational institutions in the area to urgently implement the following contents: Propagating and instructing students on knowledge and skills to protect their health, prevent COVID-19 and other infectious diseases such as hand, foot and mouth disease, chickenpox, dengue fever... Strengthening communication on COVID-19 prevention according to the latest recommendations from the Ministry of Health , to students, teachers and workers. Instructing students to practice proper personal hygiene: washing hands with soap, wearing masks when going to school. Monitoring students' health, promptly detecting and immediately notifying medical facilities if there are any suspicious symptoms. Ensuring school environmental hygiene: increasing classroom ventilation, periodic disinfection, collecting and disposing of waste according to regulations.
The Health and Education sector recommends that parents and students not be subjective and continue to raise awareness of disease prevention to ensure safety for themselves and the community./.
