August 6: VND/USD exchange rate increases again

On the morning of August 6, the exchange rate between Vietnamese Dong (VND) and US Dollar (USD) tended to increase slightly.

At the State Bank, after the price reduction session on the morning of August 5, the central exchange rate today increased again by 13 VND, to 25,232 VND/USD.

According to the regulated trading band of ±5%, today's ceiling exchange rate is 26,494 VND/USD, and the floor exchange rate is 23,970 VND/USD.

The reference exchange rate at the State Bank's Transaction Office is currently 24,009 - 26,429 VND/USD (buy - sell).

Updated at 10am this morning, VietinBank announced the USD buying and selling rates at 26,061-26,421 VND, up 109 VND for buying and down 9 VND for selling.

At Vietcombank , the exchange rate is currently at 26,030 - 26,420 VND (buy - sell), up 50 VND in both directions.

Meanwhile, at BIDV Bank, the exchange rate was listed at a high level, 26,083-26,443 VND (buy - sell), up 77 VND in both directions.

In the free market, the current buying rate is 26,000 VND/USD, down 20 VND compared to August 5, and the selling rate is 26,390 VND/USD, up 30 VND.
