Nghe An: Violations of over 16 billion VND discovered through inspection

(Chinhphu.vn) - In May 2025, through inspection work, Nghe An Provincial Inspectorate discovered violations with a total amount of over 16.2 billion VND, of which over 8.6 billion VND was recommended to be recovered.

Nghe An Provincial Inspectorate said that this unit is continuing to advise the Provincial People's Committee to direct all levels and sectors to effectively implement legal regulations on internal affairs, anti-corruption, waste and negativity.

At the same time, carry out corruption prevention work and inspect the responsibility of leaders in implementing laws on anti-corruption, negativity and waste.

Regarding internal affairs, the entire Inspection sector of Nghe An province conducted 49 administrative inspections and issued conclusions on 24 inspections at 45 units.

Through inspection, violations were discovered with a total amount of 16,263.78 million VND, of which 8,615 million VND was recommended to be recovered; 7,648.78 million VND was recommended for other handling, of which 8,805.5 million VND was recovered.

Inspectors of departments and branches in the province have conducted 3 specialized inspections and examinations, focusing mainly on the fields of Finance,Education and Training, and Justice. Through specialized inspections, 3 organizations and 2 individuals were found to have violated the law; 13 decisions on administrative sanctions were issued with a total fine of 135 million VND.

Inspection organizations in the province focus on implementing the 2025 inspection plan and assigned tasks to ensure quality and timeliness. Supervision of inspection teams, urging recovery, post-inspection handling and reviewing inspection conclusions are carried out regularly; inspection conclusions, in addition to recommending handling of the amount of violations, also focus on recommending forms of handling for individuals and groups with violations.

The total number of cases under the jurisdiction of State administrative agencies at all levels to be resolved is 27 cases, down 51.8% compared to April. Up to now, all levels and sectors of Nghe An province have resolved 24/27 cases, accounting for 88.9% of the cases arising, including 19/21 complaints, reaching 90.5%; 5/6 denunciations, reaching 83.3%; 3 cases are currently in the process of being resolved.

Regarding the work of preventing corruption, waste and negativity, agencies in the province continue to disseminate, propagate and thoroughly grasp the Party's guidelines and policies and the State's laws on preventing corruption, waste and negativity in many forms and continue to strictly implement regulations on publicity and transparency in the activities of agencies, organizations and fields such as construction investment management, public procurement and basic construction; State budget finance.

In addition, continue to promote the work of supervision, appraisal and post-inspection handling, focusing on effectively organizing the implementation of legal provisions on the implementation of inspection conclusions, especially increasing the rate of recovery of money and assets due to violations, negativity and corruption. Close coordination between inspection, examination, auditing agencies and internal affairs agencies to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of inspection.

Implementing the conclusions of the Steering Committee and the Standing Committee of the Central Steering Committee on anti-corruption, negativity and waste, the Provincial Inspectorate has directed functional agencies to strengthen management, tighten administrative discipline and digital transformation.

At the same time, continue to implement the Directive Document of the Provincial People's Committee on improving the effectiveness of anti-corruption, waste and negativity work; in which, direct agencies, units and localities to strengthen the handling of responsibilities of leaders if they are not proactive and lack responsibility in detecting and allowing corruption and negativity to occur in agencies and units directly leading and managing, especially in cases of covering up and preventing the detection and handling of corruption and negativity.

Direct inspection agencies to strengthen inspection work, focusing on areas prone to corruption and negativity, prominent and pressing issues in society, specialized areas, and closed and secretive activities; urge the implementation of conclusions and recommendations after inspections, audits, and state audits. Review and rectify the situation of pushing, avoiding, working half-heartedly, being afraid of making mistakes, and not daring to do things among a number of party members and cadres, especially leaders and managers at all levels.

Conduct inspections and audits of public services, strictly handle the responsibilities of the heads of some agencies, units and localities that let this situation happen, affecting socio -economic development and solving problems for people and businesses... The whole industry has conducted 11 public service inspections and audits of the responsibilities of heads in implementing the law on inspection at 11 units, and so far, 6 conclusions have been issued. Through the inspection, it is recommended to handle 5 individuals who have violated the law.
