Photographer Pham Minh Giang: Capturing beauty through the lens

With the work "Online Sales", photographer Pham Minh Giang excellently won the only A prize in the photography category of the Award for composing and promoting literary, artistic and journalistic works on the theme "Studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style" phase II, period 2021-2025 organized by the Central Propaganda Department and the Central Mass Mobilization Department.

Photographer Pham Minh Giang said that the work “Online Sales” captures the image of Ms. Thach Thi Kim Hoa, a young Khmer woman in Minh Hoa commune, Dau Tieng district ( Binh Duong ). She is a shining example in the local youth movement to study and follow Uncle Ho.

Hoa’s property is a majestic orchid garden. She livestreams to sell products right in the garden, with the support of digital tools. “Through images, I try to convey to viewers the style of a progressive ethnic youth - who has made efforts to build such a property,” said photographer Pham Minh Giang.

Born in 1961 in Nam Dinh , Pham Minh Giang has been involved with photography since he was very young. He became a member of the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists in 1991 and was awarded the title A.VAPA (Photographic Artist) in 1993, E.VAPA (Excellent Photographic Artist) in 2007. He is currently a member of the Executive Committee of the Literature and Arts Association of Binh Duong province, where he lives and works. He said: "Photography has, is, and will bring me health, joy, and motivation to live a useful life for society."

In addition to her success in production and business, Thach Thi Kim Hoa is also a young artisan and the winner of the Luong Dinh Cua Award, an award for outstanding young people in new rural construction. She is also in the Top 11 outstanding ethnic minority youths in 2024, honored in Hanoi .

“The story of a Khmer girl leading the digital transformation of agriculture in the countryside - that is a story that needs to be spread, so that people love life more, love people more and believe in change from simple things,” said photographer Pham Minh Giang.
