That sentiment is not only a sharing between people, but also a vivid demonstration of the effectiveness of skillful mass mobilization work - a major policy of the Party, cultivating trust and solidarity within the Fatherland's borders.
Small house on the Ia Mo border
For nearly a year now, the small house of Mrs. Ksor H'Blâm (Krong village, Ia Mo commune) is no longer deserted every evening. Because every night, officers, soldiers, and defense workers of Economic -Defense Group 710 take turns coming to stay with her, take care of her, and talk to her.

On the evening of November 3, Lieutenant Colonel Dang Chi Quang, Political Assistant of the 710th Economic-Defense Group, arrived at Mrs. Ksor H'Blam's house early. After asking about her health, he helped her clean up, then sat by the fire, listening to her tell stories about the village and the people, and discussing issues that were still lingering in community life.
“Mrs. H'Blâm is a village elder, a prestigious person in the community. Living with her, we learned many valuable things about patriotism and the sense of responsibility of party members. Her stories help us feel more proud and motivated to complete our tasks well; at the same time, we can promptly grasp the thoughts and feelings of the people to advise the Party Committee and the government in mass mobilization work,” Lieutenant Colonel Dang Chi Quang shared.
That Jrai woman is special not only because she is the first female village elder in the Central Highlands, but also because her life has been completely devoted to the revolution. After more than 25 years in the army, having fought and participated in the sweep against FULRO after the country's reunification, Ms. H'Blâm retired with the rank of lieutenant and returned to the village to continue mobilizing villagers to develop the economy, eliminate hunger and reduce poverty, preserve cultural identity, and not listen to bad people.
Now 80 years old, with 59 years of Party membership, she is still the “bright torch” of the village. Elder H'Blâm is always the spiritual support of the community.
Mass mobilization from the heart of a soldier
Imbued with the teachings of President Ho Chi Minh : "If you are good at mass mobilization, everything will be successful", Economic-Military Group 710 considers caring for and supporting Ms. H'Blam an important political task, demonstrating the morality of "When drinking water, remember its source" and the spirit of serving the people.

Lieutenant Colonel Dang Duan, Political Commissar of Economic-Defense Group 710, said: “From March 2025 to now, the unit has assigned officers, soldiers, and workers to take turns staying with and taking care of Ms. Ksor H'Blâm's health. In addition, the unit also sent doctors and nurses to regularly visit, conduct periodic health checks, and prepare all necessary medicines for her.”
Since having “soldiers living with me”, Mrs. H'Blâm's health and spirit have improved significantly. The small, quiet house is now always filled with laughter and love between the army and the people. She emotionally said: “Now my health has declined, I move slowly, and I often get sick. Having someone living with me feels very warm. The aunts and uncles in the 710 Economic-Defense Group consider me as a relative, every day they care for me, talk to me, and help with housework. I am old and can't do much work anymore, but seeing the people trust the Party and the soldiers love the people makes me feel very secure!”
For the officers and soldiers of the Economic-Defense Group 710, the nights spent with her are not only a precious time to learn from the steadfast and simple example of the old party member. “This activity has a profound humanitarian meaning, contributing to strengthening the people's trust in the Party, the State and the army, building a solid "people's heart position" at the border" - Lieutenant Colonel Dang Duan affirmed.
The small house of old H'Blâm today is not only a warm gathering place but also a vivid symbol of the military-civilian relationship. The story between the officers and soldiers of the 710th Military Economic Group and the female village elder H'Blâm goes beyond the act of charity, becoming a clear demonstration of the strength of military-civilian solidarity, the foundation for building a solid "people's heart position" at the Fatherland's fence.
