Research and compile the work "Quang Tri Province Military Dictionary"

The compilation of "Quang Tri Province Military Dictionary" aims to create a unified document, serving the search of military contents of Quang Tri province from 1930 to 2025, in the fields of: Military concepts, military place names; military organizations, units, military events and military figures.

“Quang Tri Province Military Dictionary” is a scientific work, contributing to raising awareness of the position and role of national defense and military work, serving the research, study, inheritance, and promotion of traditions, helping cadres, party members, civil servants, public employees, armed forces and workers understand the formation and development process of the provincial armed forces; arousing pride in the heroic land and people of Quang Tri for generations, especially the young generation.

The Provincial People's Committee requires that the process of organizing the collection, exploitation of documents, editing, and compilation must use reliable sources of documents, images, and data with abundant evidence; research methods and presentation must be reasonable, in accordance with the requirements of dictionary compilation; and reflect honestly and objectively.

The compilation process must thoroughly grasp objective, comprehensive, and historically specific viewpoints, ensuring continuity, practicality, and development.

At the same time, it must be consistent with the historical works of the Party, the army and the armed forces that have been researched, summarized, accepted and published. It is absolutely forbidden to assign, cut or subjectively infer to distort concepts, events, places and characters.

The Provincial People's Committee assigned the Provincial Military Command to establish an editorial board to compile the work "Quang Tri Province Military Dictionary"; develop a detailed program to implement and direct the editorial board to perform its tasks well, coordinate with relevant units and individuals to organize the collection of documents, research, and compile the topics of the work; advise on the organization of acceptance seminars; synthesize comments from leaders, commanders of different periods, and researchers through seminars and conferences; complete the manuscript according to the set schedule.

Relevant departments, branches and localities, based on their functions and tasks, shall send staff to participate in the editorial board and compile at the request of the Provincial Military Command; provide relevant information and documents of the unit at the request of the editorial board and compile to complete the work content on schedule and ensure quality.
