Using the same trick, Kato scammed at least two other men, including a man in his 40s who was "pickpocketed" by her for 720,000 Japanese yen (equivalent to 148 million VND). This person said that Kato "bathed him in honey" with sweet words and enticed him. She deliberately created the image of an innocent, pure student, who had lost her mother at a young age and had to shoulder a huge debt from her late mother.

Believing Kato, the man did not hesitate to transfer a large sum of money to her without any suspicion. It is worth noting that because the victims all transferred cash to Kato without any loan documents, when the incident was discovered, the police could not investigate. Currently, the police are still collecting evidence and investigating Kato's fraudulent behavior. This incident once again raises the alarm about love fraud, especially through online dating applications.
