Fishermen in Hue caught a turtle weighing more than 100kg

On the afternoon of May 4, news from the Border Guard Command of Thua Thien Hue province said that the unit's forces had just coordinated with local authorities to release a turtle weighing more than 100kg back into the natural environment.

Previously, at around 12 noon today, Lang Co Border Guard Station (located in Phu Loc district, TT-Hue province) received a report that Mr. Nguyen Huu Lai (residing in An Cu Dong 2 residential area, Lang Co town) discovered a turtle weighing more than 100kg while exploiting aquatic products in the middle of Lap An lagoon.

After receiving the report, the border guards coordinated with local authorities and the Bac Hai Van Protective Forest Management Board to directly go to the scene and receive the incident.

Identifying this as a rare species, authorities released this turtle back into its natural environment on the coast of Lang Co town.
