A man in Ho Chi Minh City won 344 billion VND in Vietlott: Seeing the matching numbers in the result made me tremble.

Mr. NP, living in Ho Chi Minh City, received the Vietlott Jackpot prize worth 344 billion VND - the largest lottery prize ever in Vietnam.

Vietlott announced on July 22nd that it had awarded the Power 6/55 Jackpot 1 prize from draw number 01215, worth over 344 billion VND, to Mr. NP. He is the lucky winner of the largest lottery prize ever awarded by Vietlott, and in Vietnam in general.

The winning lottery ticket was issued at a Vietlott sales point in Ho Chi Minh City.

According to Vietlott, in the previous draw number 01215 of the Power 6/55 lottery, Vietlott confirmed that one person won Jackpot 1 with a prize value of 344,987,346,900 VND.

Through verification of the lottery business data system and accompanying personal records, Vietlott has identified one winning player, Mr. NP from Ho Chi Minh City. The lucky ticket was issued at a local sales point.

Stating that he lives and runs a freelance business in Ho Chi Minh City, NP shared that he has a habit of buying lottery tickets and leaving them in the trunk of his car until the next day to check the numbers.

"On the evening of July 12th, I saw the news that someone had won, but I didn't pay attention to check my ticket. The next morning, when Vietlott announced that someone had won in Ho Chi Minh City, I took out my ticket to check."

Seeing the numbers on my ticket match the winning numbers, I was initially nervous, then came a feeling that's truly indescribable.

"That afternoon, I couldn't eat rice. In the evening, after I had calmed down and waited for my wife to finish eating, I broke the news to her," NP recounted.

NP's wife recounted that after receiving the news from her husband, she also stayed awake all night.

"I feel very happy. Part of me is happy to know that my husband won such a big prize, but I'm even happier that he won and shared the news with me," said NP's wife.

According to regulations, Mr. NP is obligated to pay personal income tax at the ticket issuing location in Ho Chi Minh City, totaling over 34.4 billion VND (10% of the amount exceeding 10 million VND), and this tax will be deducted immediately upon receiving the prize.
