3 days ago, as soon as he heard the news of the approaching super typhoon, fisherman Le Van Tu, a resident of Phong Hai ward, hurriedly drove his fishing boat numbered QN-80022 from Bach Long Vi sea area back to the anchorage area in Ha Nam peninsula (Quang Yen) to take shelter. |

With many years of experience at sea, Mr. Tu believes that the possibility of storm No. 3 is very high. “We cannot be subjective. We call each other to return to the mainland immediately. Since yesterday, everyone has tied up all boats in the deep water inside the Bach Dang River branch,” said the 43-year-old fisherman while reinforcing the bow of the boat. |

“As of today, all familiar boats are present on this sheltered river branch. We just pray that the storm will pass soon, with minimal damage so that everyone can be safe,” Mr. Tu told a reporter from Nhan Dan Newspaper on the afternoon of September 6. |

“The boat will be tied down at both the front and the back. We use strong ropes to anchor the boat to sturdy structures on the shore,” Mr. Tu explained. |

By the afternoon of September 6, there were about 20 boats anchored in the anchorage area in Tan An ward (Quang Yen). All were firmly reinforced. |
