26-year-old overseas Vietnamese beauty crowned Miss Earth Vietnam 2023

(Dan Tri) - Do Thi Lan Anh returned to Vietnam from the US to participate in a beauty contest and won the highest position at the final round of Miss Earth Vietnam 2023.

The final round of Miss Earth Vietnam 2023 took place in Ho Chi Minh City on the evening of October 14 with the competition of 30 contestants. As a result, Do Thi Lan Anh (born in 1997) was crowned the highest position. She received a prize of 100 million VND in cash, a crown worth 1 billion VND and a representative ticket to compete in Miss Earth.

Do Thi Lan Anh was born in Hanoi and has lived in the US for 20 years. The beauty is 1.71m tall and has body measurements of 85-60-95cm. Returning to Vietnam to participate in a beauty contest, Lan Anh wants to learn more about the culture and nature of her homeland. In the future, she plans to return to Vietnam to live and work and wants to contribute to the goal of developing and protecting the environment in Vietnam. In the final night, Do Thi Lan Anh scored points for her concise, to-the-point response and completion on time.

The title of Miss Air Vietnam (1st Runner-up) was awarded to Nguyen Thi Thu Trang. The 19-year-old beauty from Ninh Binh attracted attention with her outstanding height of 1.77m and measurements of 83-60-92cm. Miss Water Vietnam (2nd Runner-up) is Hoang Thi Yen Nhi, born in 2000, from Dong Nai. She is 1.7m tall, with measurements of 79-59-88cm. Miss Fire Vietnam (3rd Runner-up) is Hoang Thi Kim Chi, born in 1997, from Quang Tri, 1.68m tall, with measurements of 85-60-90cm. Miss Earth Vietnam 2023 started in July. The contest seeks and honors girls with outstanding beauty, talent and special concern for the environment and nature. After 8 reality TV episodes, Miss Earth Vietnam 2023 selected 30 finalists. In the final night, the contestants took turns performing in the ensemble, swimsuit (top 30), and ao dai (top 20) competitions. After announcing the top 11 (10 contestants selected by the jury, 1 contestant won the vote), the beauties entered the presentation and evening gown competitions to select the top 4. In the top 4's behavioral competition, the contestants answered questions on the topics of protecting nature, ecosystems, andeducating children about the environment.

Many viewers commented that the Miss Earth Vietnam final night had many "errors". The performances with background music were not really attractive. The award ceremony and introduction video were still slow. The quality of the contestants was also commented to be uneven, many girls were weak in appearance and catwalk ability. Some contestants were still awkward in their presentations and behavior, leaning towards "memorization".

The jury of the Miss Earth Vietnam 2023 final night includes: Truong Ngoc Anh - National President of Miss Earth Vietnam; director Long Kan; judge Le Linh; businesswoman Bui Thi My Canh; journalist Tran Nguyen Thien Huong... In addition, the final night also has the participation of reigning Miss Earth 2022 Mina Sue Choi and 2 runners-up Sheridan Sayer Mortlock, Andrea Aguilera Arroyave. Singers Trong Hieu, Hoang My An and international artist Shontelle are guest performers in the final night. The program is hosted by MC Thanh Thanh Huyen and Thanh Tung.
