According to the announcement of the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs , the Hung King's Commemoration Day is a one-day holiday, falling on Monday, April 7 (March 10 of the lunar calendar). The days immediately preceding the Hung King's Commemoration Day are Saturday and Sunday.

Therefore, civil servants, public employees and workers can have 3 consecutive days off from April 5 to April 7, including 1 holiday and 2 weekend days.
On the occasion of April 30 - May 1, civil servants, public employees and workers will have their working days changed from Friday (May 2) to Saturday (April 26) and will have 5 days off, from April 30 to May 4.
For agencies and units that do not have a fixed schedule for Saturday and Sunday every week, they will base on the specific program and plan of the unit to arrange a suitable schedule.
The 2025 holiday schedule is announced early so that employees can proactively work and arrange vacation and travel programs during these occasions. The Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs encourages businesses to let employees take leave according to the above schedule.
Due to work requirements, businesses may proactively ask employees to work on holidays and Tet and must comply with the Labor Law when calculating overtime for employees.
According to the Labor Code, employees are entitled to 11 paid holidays and Tet holidays as follows: New Year's Day is 1 day off (January 1); Lunar New Year is 5 days off; Victory Day is 1 day off (April 30); International Labor Day is 1 day off (May 1); National Day is 2 days off (September 2 and 1 day before or after); Hung King's Commemoration Day is 1 day off (March 10 of the lunar calendar).
In 2025, civil servants and employees will have 22 days off for holidays and Tet, including 11 official days and 11 compensatory days off, consecutive days off due to falling on weekly holidays, or swapping working days.
