In the last days of June, Dan Viet newspaper reporters visited the house of Nguyen Huu Tien (born in 2010, Ninh Tinh village, Ninh Phuoc commune, Ninh Hoa town, Khanh Hoa ). Talking to reporters, Tien shared that he had just finished 8th grade with excellent results, especially in English with a score of 9.8. During the past 8 years of studying, he always tried to study hard at school as well as at home and achieved excellent student results.

Talking about his destiny in knowing many languages ​​in the world , the boy Nguyen Huu Tien said that since he was little, he was very interested in languages, so he researched through online media, videos, and learned from real life through conversations.

Up to now, I have known many languages ​​of different countries such as: English, Chinese, Japanese, French, Italian,... Of which, I am almost fluent in English and Chinese.

According to Tien, in addition to studying at school, he spends the remaining 1.5 - 2 hours a day learning the language and interacting with foreigners, thereby improving and perfecting his knowledge.

Nguyen Huu Tien said that for now, he will continue to study at school, learn from teachers and friends. Later, he dreams of becoming an interpreter or researching languages ​​of countries around the world.

Ms. Nguyen Thuy Thuy Mien (Tien's mother) said that in the family of 2 children, Tien is the youngest child. The eldest child is talented in sports and is currently studying at college. Tien has been conscious of studying since he was young, because his family works in the seafood industry so they do not have time to tutor him.

According to Ms. Mien, Tien has read more than 100 textbooks from grade 1 to grade 11. His family discovered that he could read languages ​​from grade 1 and was very surprised at his ability. In addition, Tien also read some science books explaining phenomena in nature and society. What Tien has read, he remembers very well, remembers every detail and speaks fluently.

"Seeing my child studying on his own, my family is very happy and proud of this unique ability. We hope that his dream will come true in the future," said Ms. Mien.

Mr. Nguyen Huu Phuong (Tien's father) said that when he was young, Tien was very slow to speak compared to other children. At 25 months old, Tien could read and at 30 months old, he could write. Initially, Tien was taught how to read letters by his older brother. In addition to his special ability to speak language, he also showed a special ability to memorize natural sciences and social sciences such as Chemistry, Biology, History, Geography, etc.

Mr. Le Ngoc Minh - Acting Chairman of Ninh Phuoc Commune People's Committee confirmed that since childhood, Tien has been able to speak many languages ​​in the world, and his studies have been more outstanding than those of his peers in the area. Over the past time, the locality has always focused on and cared about education, and Tien is a shining example of the locality in studying for everyone to follow.

Mr. Nguyen Hong Khoa - Vice Principal of Ham Nghi Secondary School said that from grade 6 to grade 8, Tien was an excellent student of the school. He participated in all competitions for excellent students and achieved high results. At the end of this school year, he was one of 3 students who received a scholarship from the town and was assigned to be the team leader.

Talking about Nguyen Huu Tien being called "child prodigy", Mr. Khoa informed that he had heard about this case since primary school. When he was in secondary school, Mr. Khoa affirmed that Tien's English ability was always superior to his peers, and he is currently in the team of excellent students preparing for the English exam next year.
