Nguyen Thuy Linh entered the finals of the 2024 Vietnam Open Badminton Tournament

Nguyen Thuy Linh's opponent in the semi-final match taking place this afternoon is Lin Hsiang Ti (Chinese Taipei, ranked 65th in the world).

The first set of the semi-final was played with the advantage leaning towards Nguyen Thuy Linh. She easily defeated Lin Hsiang Ti with a score of 21-13.

The easy win in the first set gave Nguyen Thuy Linh a big psychological advantage. Therefore, despite being chased quite fiercely by Lin Hsiang Ti in the second set, Nguyen Thuy Linh still won this set with a score of 22-20.

In the end, Vietnam's number one female tennis player won 2-0 (21-13, 22-20), earning the right to enter the final. Nguyen Thuy Linh's opponent in the final will be Kaoru Sugiyama (Japan, the number 8 seed of the tournament).

The final match of the women's singles of the 2024 Vietnam Open badminton tournament will take place tomorrow afternoon (September 15) at Nguyen Du Gymnasium (HCMC).
