The ceremony to honor advanced models in 2024 and award the "Dedication to Da Nang" award was held by Da Nang City on March 24, to recognize the great contributions of groups and individuals to the strong development of Da Nang.

Hero of Labor, Meritorious Teacher Le Cong Co - Chairman of DTU Council, Secretary of DTU Party Committee is one of 6 individuals honored to receive the noble title "Dedication to Da Nang" for their important contributions in the field ofeducation and training.

Mr. Le Cong Co is a pioneer in the socialization of education, and is the Chairman of the Founding Council of DTU - the first and largest non-public university in the Central region.

Over 30 years of building and developing DTU (1994 - 2025), he has built a team of 1,627 teachers; a party committee consisting of 4 party committees with 417 party members; organized training and provided society with more than 87,000 graduates from bachelor to doctorate; brought DTU into the top 500 best universities in the world , top 115 number 1 universities in Asia and number 1 university in Vietnam.

Teacher Le Cong Co was awarded many noble awards by the Party and the State such as: Second-class Independence Medal (1995), First-class Resistance Medal (1985), Hero of Labor in the Renovation Period (2016), Excellent Teacher (2002), Outstanding Citizen of Da Nang in the period 1997 - 2017, 60-year Party membership badge (2025).
