Thai Binh Cheo Theater won the Gold Medal at the 2023 National Festival of Stage Arts and Excerpts

On the evening of June 1, the closing ceremony and award ceremony of the 2023 National Festival of Stage Arts took place in Ha Nam province. Thai Binh Cheo Theater was honored to win 4 awards at the festival.
Artists of Thai Binh Cheo Theater in the cheo excerpt "Le Quy Don goes to envoy".
Specifically, Meritorious Artist Pham Thi Thanh Hien won the Gold Medal for her role as Suy Van in the cheo excerpt "Suy Van pretends to be crazy"; Meritorious Artist Tran Anh Dien won the Silver Medal for her role as Le Quy Don in the excerpt "Le Quy Don goes to the embassy". In addition, Meritorious Artist Dinh Cuong is the only musician in the country to be honored with the award for excellent musician at the festival. The Thai Binh Cheo Theater Orchestra is also one of two orchestras to win the award for excellent orchestra.

The 2023 National Festival of Excerpts and Stage Arts organized by the Vietnam Association of Stage Artists, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, and the People's Committee of Ha Nam province from May 20 to June 1 attracted nearly 1,000 actors from 33 professional art units nationwide with 106 excerpts of various art forms such as Cheo, Tuong, Cai Luong, folk drama, drama, and circus.
The artists of Thai Binh Cheo Theater, with their achievements at the 2023 festival, continued to affirm their talent and position as one of the cradles of Cheo in the country.
