As the country enters an era of development, more and more factories, enterprises, and large and small constructions are being built, a worrying reality is work-related accidents. According to the Ministry of Home Affairs, in 2024, the country recorded 8,206 work-related accidents, causing 584 deaths and 1,546 serious injuries.

Among 63 provinces and cities, with the efforts of all levels, sectors and many enterprises having preventive solutions, the number of occupational accidents in Binh Thuan province is in the low and decreasing group. Specifically, only 7 occupational accidents were recorded in areas with labor relations, causing 5 deaths, 2 injuries and no cases in areas without labor relations.

Workers must comply with technical procedures and not be subjective.

With the determination to control occupational accidents and diseases, towards a safe, highly productive production, and fulfilling social responsibilities, during the peak period of launching the Occupational Safety and Health Action Month from May 1 to 31, 2025, the Provincial Federation of Labor (FFL) has deployed to the direct superior trade unions at the grassroots level and affiliated grassroots trade unions to promote information, propaganda, and sharing of experiences, good models, and good practices in OSH. Diversify communication activities to raise awareness and consciousness about ensuring safety, health, and life for workers and people on mass media and social networking platforms. Timely propagate the causes and ways to prevent occupational accidents, occupational diseases, and fire and explosion prevention in enterprises, production facilities, and communities.

Along with that, proactively coordinate with employers to organize specific action programs on ensuring safety, occupational safety and health, reducing stress in the workplace and in the supply chain; pay attention to improving working conditions, building a safe, "Green - Clean - Beautiful" and friendly working environment.

Another solution is to organize training for union officials, occupational safety and health workers, and workers to identify and assess risks, improve safe and hygienic working conditions in enterprises, facilities, teams, workshops, factories, construction works, traffic works in crowded places, hospitals, medical facilities, etc. At the same time, it is required that training activities and specialized training on occupational safety and health must be associated with practical training, improving skills and methods of union activities for the occupational safety and health worker network.

The Provincial Federation of Labor will proactively propose to coordinate with departments, branches and sectors in the activities of inspection, examination and supervision of occupational safety and health, focusing on the issue of monitoring the working environment at a number of enterprises in industries, occupations and fields with high risks of occupational accidents and diseases such as mining, mechanics, construction, electricity, working in confined spaces, using machines, equipment, materials and substances with strict requirements on occupational safety and health...
