In the first months of this year, the aquaculture area in Binh Thuan continued to be maintained at more than 840 hectares, of which the fish farming area was about 604 hectares and the shrimp farming area was estimated at 220 hectares. Regarding offshore cage farming, the province currently has 125 households with 139 rafts and 3,023 cages, mainly concentrated in 7 farming areas: Tam Thanh Commune (Phu Quy island district); Vinh Tan Commune, Binh Thanh Commune, Phan Ri Cua Town (Tuy Phong District); Tan Thanh Commune (Ham Thuan Nam District); Hoa Thang Commune (Bac Binh District); Mui Ne Ward (Phan Thiet City). Statistics show that in the first 4 months of 2025, aquaculture output in Binh Thuan is estimated at 2,718 tons (up 3.32% over the same period last year), of which fish of all kinds alone is about 1,190 tons (up 1.16%) and brackish water shrimp is estimated at 1,463 tons (up 4.78%).
