Strengthen inspection and examination of cosmetic products

Accordingly, the Provincial People's Committee assigned the Department of Health to preside over and coordinate with the Provincial Police, the Provincial Inspectorate and the Departments of Industry and Trade, Culture, Sports and Tourism, Science and Technology, the Regional Customs Branch XIV, the Regional Tax Branch XIV, the People's Committees of districts, towns, cities and related units to strengthen post-sale inspections and checks, combat smuggling, trade fraud, production and trading of counterfeit and poor-quality goods in the group of goods being cosmetics under the direction of the Ministry of Health to control the quality of cosmetics circulating in the province and ensure the legitimate rights of consumers.

Consumers need to choose to buy cosmetics at reputable supermarkets and stores to ensure quality.

Previously, the Ministry of Health issued Official Dispatch No. 2965/BYT-QLD to the People's Committees of provinces and centrally-run cities on strengthening post-sale inspection and examination, combating smuggling, trade fraud, production and trading of counterfeit and poor-quality goods in the group of cosmetics.
