From June 1, passengers traveling on Metro Line 1 (Ben Thanh - Suoi Tien) will have a more convenient option when they can use their ID card or Citizen Identification Card (CCCD) with chip instead of traditional monthly tickets. This is an important improvement to improve user experience and contribute to the digitalization of public transport services in Ho Chi Minh City.
According to the announcement from Urban Railway Company No. 1 (operating unit), to activate this feature, passengers need to perform 2 simple steps on the HCMC Metro HURC application including:
Step 1: Log in to the account that registered for the monthly ticket;
Step 2: Access the "edit personal information" section, select "link CCCD with chip" and follow the instructions.

In case of technical errors, passengers can contact the station staff directly or call the support hotline 0287.3003.885 for timely handling.
Applying CCCD to metro operations not only helps optimize control processes but also opens the door for many other technological improvements in the near future.
Ho Chi Minh City Urban Railway Company No. 1 hopes that this innovation will bring a convenient and modern experience to city residents when traveling by public transport.
