A US Secret Service agent in charge of security for US Vice President Kamala Harris has been placed on leave pending an investigation after being accused of groping one of Harris' staff members, according to NBC News.
NBC News today, September 26, quoted several officials confirming that the Secret Service agent was a member of the advance team in Green Bay, Wisconsin (USA) and was intoxicated at the time of the incident. This Secret Service agent has been removed from Ms. Harris's security team. One official told NBC News that the incident was reported to the local office of the US Secret Service, and the agent's gun and badge were confiscated.

The Secret Service recently notified Harris's office of an incident involving one of its employees and "allegations of misconduct," according to two Secret Service spokespeople and Harris's office. In a statement about the incident, Harris's office stressed that it "takes employee safety very seriously" and has "zero tolerance for sexual misconduct." A Secret Service spokesperson confirmed that the agency has placed the employee in question on leave while it investigates.
