On Le Hoan Street - one of the busiest commercial streets in the city, many clothing and shoe stores are closed.
Previously, on May 27, at 224 Le Hoan Street, Mobile Market Management Team No. 9 under the Thanh Hoa Market Management Department coordinated with the Economic Police Department, Provincial Police to suddenly inspect Tung Moscow store, discovering hundreds of fashion items bearing famous brands such as Gucci, Dior, Louis Vuitton, Prada, Hermès, Versace... with signs of counterfeiting protected trademarks in Vietnam.
On Cao Thang Street - considered a fashion street, only shops displaying Vietnamese fashion brands such as: Viettien, May 10, Aristino, Owen... are open to welcome customers.
Some other clothing shops are closed.
Dao Duy Tu Street, which is home to many cosmetic and fashion stores and is often congested, has become deserted in recent days as many stores have closed.
Notably, at some large markets in Thanh Hoa City, many clothing kiosks have also closed and temporarily stopped trading. Ms. LTT, a clothing vendor at Vuon Hoa Market, shared that the authorities are taking strong action against violating goods, so many vendors have closed to "avoid" inspection teams.
At Tay Thanh Market, on the morning of June 4, some kiosks were also closed or only opened "limitedly", selling goods to a few regular customers.
From May 20, 2025 to June 15, 2025, Thanh Hoa province's functional forces launched a peak period to monitor, inspect, and handle acts of smuggling, trade fraud, counterfeit goods, and infringement of intellectual property rights. The peak period aims to strictly implement the Prime Minister's instructions; at the same time, promptly detect and prevent acts of trade fraud and infringement of intellectual property rights. The peak period focuses on inspecting, controlling the market, and strictly handling administrative violations of essential consumer goods, food, medicines, cosmetics, fertilizers, agricultural supplies, gasoline, alcohol, etc. At the same time, inspect business activities in the electronic environment such as e-commerce platforms, websites, and social networking platforms that show signs of exploitation to trade in smuggled goods, counterfeit goods, goods that infringe intellectual property rights, goods of unknown origin, and goods that do not ensure food safety. |
