Many landslides on National Highway 27C connecting Da Lat

On September 14, Thanh Nien reporters were present at landslide sites along National Highway 27C and recorded the landslide sites there.

According to local people, after heavy rains in early September 2023, the landslide at Km 105+300 QL27C (village 1, Da Sar commune, Lac Duong district, Lam Dong ) became more serious, vehicles can only travel one way when passing this landslide. Currently, Lam Dong Department of Transport is urgently fixing and repairing.

Here, the construction unit is driving cajuput piles to limit landslides. The construction unit representative said that overcoming the landslide is difficult due to underground water flowing from the mountainside.

At Km 80+800, in Tupoh village, Da Chais commune (Lac Duong), a new landslide was recorded. The landslide swept away 5 drainage culverts and created a deep hole; the land near the edge of National Highway 27 was eroded like a "frog's mouth".

After a field survey, the Traffic Inspection Team (Lam Dong Department of Transport) said that they would report and propose immediate remediation of this landslide. It is known that this area has weak soil, previously suffered from serious landslides, and it took many years to stabilize.

Also on this route, at Km 108+50 (Da Sar commune), there is a landslide section on the negative slope about 30 m long that is being repaired by Lam Dong Department of Transport.

Speaking to reporters, Mr. Nguyen Van Gia, Director of Lam Dong Department of Transport, said that the cost of repairing the two landslides at Km 105+800 and Km 108+50 is nearly 5.5 billion VND. According to the plan, the landslide repair will be completed by the end of October 2023. As for the new landslide at Km 80+800, the department will have a repair plan as soon as possible to ensure traffic safety.
