
On the afternoon of November 13, at the Ho Chi Minh City Press Center, the People's Committee of Ca Mau province coordinated with the Investment and Trade Promotion Center and the Department of Industry and Trade of Ho Chi Minh City to provide information to introduce a series of activities to promote Ca Mau crab and information about the Ca Mau Crab Festival 2025.
Mr. Le Van Su, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Ca Mau province, said that the "Ca Mau Crab Festival - 2nd time in 2025" with the theme "Ca Mau Crab: Forest Scent - Sea Flavor" will officially take place from November 16 to 22. The event is expected to not only contribute to promoting and enhancing the brand of Ca Mau crab but also introduce the unique culinary cultural values and OCOP products of the province. The series of activities within the framework of the festival is built diversely and attractively, including exhibition spaces, trade exhibitions, forums, specialized seminars, and many unique cultural, sports and tourism activities.
According to Mr. Le Van Su, this year's festival has been expanded to 500 booths, combining crab products, OCOP products and trade and service fairs. Notably, the highlight of the program is the culinary performance every night with the participation of chefs from Ho Chi Minh City and Ca Mau, bringing a series of unique dishes from crabs and seafood from the river region.
The event also brings many unique folk games of Ca Mau sea such as crab tying contest, crab racing, crab catching and big crab contest, creating a vibrant atmosphere and helping visitors understand more about the working life associated with crab farming and fishing.

Meanwhile, Mr. Huynh Chi Nguyen, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Ca Mau province, said that to promote the "Ca Mau Crab Festival", in Ho Chi Minh City, the province also organized a series of activities called "Hello Ca Mau" taking place from November 13 to 22. The main events include: Investment cooperation connection conference at Rex Hotel with the participation of nearly 300 delegates, including leaders of ministries, branches, provinces and cities; Consulates General, Embassies and many large enterprises. Here, Ca Mau province will introduce its marine economic potential, land - forest - sea advantages and key projects calling for investment in energy, trade - services, industry and tourism infrastructure. Many presentations by VCCI and economic experts will analyze new growth drivers for the province in the period 2025 - 2030.
The "Ca Mau Crab Food Festival" will take place from November 18 to 22, 2025 at Stadium 4A of the Youth Cultural House, with 100 booths divided into four unique spaces. The exhibition area introduces models, images and cultural and ecological symbols of Ca Mau. The display and trading area brings OCOP products, Ca Mau crab and seafood specialties, and typical products of Ho Chi Minh City, creating opportunities to connect supply and demand for businesses.
The processing and culinary area organizes demonstrations of delicious crab dishes, tasting experiences and cooking instructions. The cultural and artistic exchange area has amateur music, folk songs, costume performances, folk games and exchanges with artisans about the journey of building the Ca Mau culinary brand.

Sharing the significance of this activity, Mr. Ngo Vu Thang, Vice Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee, said that the festival is not only an occasion to honor typical products but also demonstrates the vision of sustainable development and international integration of the locality. From the above events, the province wishes to affirm the brand, spread the value and enhance the position of crab, which is the pride of the southernmost land of the Fatherland.
In Ca Mau, crab is second only to shrimp, one of the two main aquatic products of the province, and has been granted a geographical indication certificate - an important legal tool for managing and promoting brands in domestic and foreign markets. In addition, with suitable soil and water resources, by 2024, the province's crab farming area will reach 252,000 hectares with an output of more than 25,200 tons. Ca Mau aims to become the largest crab farming center in the country, striving to reach a total output of about 40,000 tons by 2030.
