On the afternoon of April 18, a delegation of the Ministry of Public Security and leaders of the Provincial Youth Union, City Youth Union, and the People's Public Security forces of the southern provinces carried out many meaningful projects and tasks to contribute to taking care of the people and children of Tan Bien district.
At Nguyen Ba Ngoc Primary School, Tan Bien town, the Camp Organizing Committee coordinated with the Central Committee of the Vietnam Youth Union, the National Volunteer Center, and the Tay Ninh Provincial Youth Union to inaugurate the project "Computer room for children" and give gifts to disadvantaged students in Tan Bien district.
Attending the event were Ms. Nguyen Pham Duy Trang - Secretary of the Central Executive Committee of the Youth Union, Chairman of the Central Council of the Young Pioneers; Mr. Nguyen Kim Quy - Head of the Central Youth Front Committee of the Youth Union, Permanent Vice President of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Youth Union; Lieutenant Colonel Dong Duc Vu - Head of the Youth Committee of the People's Public Security; Mr. Nguyen Thanh Tung - Secretary of the Tay Ninh Provincial Youth Union.
At the program, delegates cut the ribbon to inaugurate the project "Computer room for children", officially putting the project into operation to serve the teaching and learning of teachers and students of Nguyen Ba Ngoc Primary School.
The project includes 16 computers, worth 100 million VND. National Volunteer Center mobilized model Minh Tu's family to sponsor.
The project “Computer room for children” is one of the practical activities, demonstrating the sense of responsibility and companionship of the Youth Union and Association at all levels in caring for the material and spiritual life of team members and children, especially students in remote, isolated and border areas that still face many difficulties. At the same time, it contributes to promoting the movement “Popular digital education”, improving digital skills for children.
On this occasion, the Provincial Youth Union Standing Committee awarded 30 scholarships to disadvantaged students in Tan Bien district; each scholarship is worth 1 million VND. This is a spiritual encouragement, hoping that the students will have more conditions to study.
On the same afternoon, at Cay Cay Prison (Thanh Binh Commune, Tan Bien District), the Central Committee of the Vietnam Youth Union coordinated with Department C10, Ministry of Public Security, People's Public Security Youth Committee, Vietnam Youth Union of Tay Ninh Province and Cay Cay Prison to organize the program "Lighting up the dream of rehabilitation" at the Central level in 2025.
Attending the event were Mr. Nguyen Lam - Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission; Major General Ngo Hoai Thu - Deputy Director of the Department of Party and Political Affairs, Ministry of Public Security; Ms. Nguyen Pham Duy Trang - Secretary of the Central Executive Committee of the Youth Union, Chairman of the Central Council of the Young Pioneers; Mr. Nguyen Kim Quy - Permanent Vice President of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Youth Union; Mr. Nguyen Thanh Tung - Secretary of the Tay Ninh Provincial Youth Union.
Speaking at the program, Mr. Nguyen Kim Quy, Permanent Vice President of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Youth Union, emphasized that the Central-level program "Lighting up the dream of reform" in 2025 was organized on a special occasion, in an atmosphere where the whole Party and people were joyful, filled with enthusiasm and pride towards the 50th anniversary of the liberation of the South and national reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025).
This is not only an opportunity for the youth of the whole country to review the glorious tradition of the nation, to pay tribute to those who sacrificed for the independence and freedom of the nation, but also a moment for today's generation to continue writing new history pages, contributing to building the country to become increasingly rich, powerful, and firmly entering a new era.
The Standing Committee of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Youth Union advised the young prisoners being reformed at Cay Cay Prison: “Everyone has their own circumstances and mistakes in the past. The past cannot be changed, but the present and the future are up to us to decide. All the difficulties and challenges of the present will be opportunities for you to practice and train your courage, prove that you can correct your mistakes and start over.”
On this occasion, in order to support and encourage prisoners in difficult circumstances, and at the same time recognize their positivity in studying and working, the program's Organizing Committee presented 30 meaningful gifts to 30 young prisoners with good achievements.
Along with that, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Youth Union presented Cay Cay Prison with a youth project worth 50 million VND, including a sound system to serve the prison's training and rehabilitation activities.
These practical activities have promoted the pioneering and voluntary role of the youth of the People's Public Security force in caring for people and children, especially those in border areas, remote areas. Thereby, contributing to creating conditions for people to have a stable material and spiritual life, to stay at the border, and to accompany the armed forces to maintain national border security.
