This is an important cultural and sporting event not only for Binh Dinh, but also a place for convergence, exchange and connection of people who are passionate about and love Vietnamese traditional martial arts at home and abroad.
According to the Organizing Committee, the festivals all aim to contribute to preserving and promoting the quintessence of Vietnamese traditional martial arts in general and Binh Dinh traditional martial arts in particular.
These activities are concrete steps towards building a dossier to submit to UNESCO to recognize Binh Dinh traditional martial arts as an intangible cultural heritage of humanity.
Speaking at the event, Vice Chairman of Binh Dinh Provincial People's Committee Lam Hai Giang expressed his hope that through the activities integrated into the festival, domestic people and international friends will have the opportunity to understand more deeply about the land and people of Binh Dinh, the homeland of the hero Quang Trung - Nguyen Hue, about the spirit of martial arts, humanity and tolerance.
