
There were 3 landslides on National Highway 9C, National Highway 9B and National Highway 9, causing large amounts of soil and rock to fall onto the road. There were 7 landslides on provincial roads, the road surface was eroded, making traffic difficult and posing a potential risk to traffic safety. In addition, many inter-village and inter-commune roads in Nam Hai Lang, Dakrong, Le Thuy, Kim Ngan and Huong Hiep communes also experienced landslides.
On landslide-affected roads, dangerous areas, and flooded areas causing isolation, local units and authorities have proactively deployed guards and set up barriers and warning signs to ensure the safety of people and vehicles. At the same time, there are plans to evacuate households in areas at risk of landslides to safe places. Up to now, heavy rain in Quang Tri has caused 2 people to go missing; more than 534 households were flooded; more than 5,000 students at 27 schools had to stay home to ensure safety. The whole province has evacuated and relocated 137 households with 385 people.
