The first packages of necessities and medicine to support flood victims on Vietnam Airlines flight have arrived in Hue.

In the face of the historic floods that have severely affected the Central provinces, Vietnam Airlines Group (including Vietnam Airlines, Pacific Airlines and VASCO) has quickly implemented a program to transport free relief goods to the affected localities. Recently, the first shipments landed at Phu Bai Airport (Hue) that very night.

Immediately after the announcement on October 30, the first shipments of nearly 500 kilograms of necessities, medicine, clothes, and food donated by Ho Chi Minh City Women's Newspaper were quickly transported by Vietnam Airlines to Hue on flight VN1376 on the night of October 31. The second shipment of 400 warm coats from Saigon Giai Phong Newspaper to support flood victims will be received by Vietnam Airlines on flight VN1374 on the afternoon of November 1.

Vietnam Airlines prioritizes loading and unloading of goods to support the flood-affected areas in the Central region to transport them as quickly as possible, in time to reach people in flood-affected areas.

The cargo flights not only carry food, medicine and essential supplies, but also carry the hearts, emotions and spirit of solidarity from all over the country towards the Central region.

In 2024, Vietnam Airlines became a bridge to share the difficulties of people affected by Typhoon Yagi , which caused heavy rain and flooding in many northern provinces. More than 300 tons of relief goods including life jackets, medicine, food and drinks were transported free of charge by Vietnam Airlines Group (Vietnam Airlines, Pacific Airlines, VASCO) on its flights to join hands with the community to overcome the consequences of natural disasters.
