
For Vietnam Airlines, fragrance is the invisible language of emotions, a subtle connection between the brand and passengers, evoking a sense of relaxation, familiarity and class. The brand scent project was initiated with the desire to bring passengers a space filled with emotions, where each scent remains as a beautiful memory on the flight with Vietnam Airlines.
Inspired by the lotus flower, a symbol of elegance and sophistication, Vietnam Airlines and perfume artist Rei Nguyen agreed to develop a brand scent for Vietnam Airlines that is elegant and graceful. With the message "An elegant scent accompanies passengers on Vietnam Airlines flights", the airline wishes to bring an emotional journey (A journey of Scents and also a journey of Lotus), where each gentle scent evokes the sophistication of Vietnamese culture in the sky.

Vietnam Airlines chose fragrance artist Rei Nguyen and a team of Vietnamese experts to accompany them to bring each scent note crystallized from familiar ingredients, imbued with national identity: gentle Tam Coc lotus (Ninh Binh), profound Thai Nguyen black tea, fresh young Com lang Vong ( Hanoi ), Thanh Tra grapefruit with the essence of Hue, cool Doan Hung grapefruit from Phu Tho, and dear Lai Vung tangerine (Dong Thap). All blend into a symphony of scents both familiar and new, as a tribute to the roots of Vietnamese culture.
Deputy General Director of Vietnam Airlines, Mr. Dang Anh Tuan shared: “With LotuScent, Vietnam Airlines continues to affirm its efforts to elevate the international 5-star experience. Not only paying attention to tangible elements, we also invest in intangible experiences, where emotions and brand impressions are spread. Each layer of LotuScent carries the breath of a land in Vietnam and meets in the cabin, where all Vietnamese flavors and colors meet. From simplicity to sophistication, all are distilled and gathered in a single touch point: “Elegance”, symbolizing the elegant and sophisticated spirit of Vietnam Airlines.”

Vietnam Airlines brings LotuScent into the cabin with the variation "Fragrance follows the wind to the sky". The scent layer evokes the image of a gentle, warm afternoon tea, bringing a feeling of relaxation and closeness to passengers. The scent will be spread in two special moments, welcoming and seeing off passengers as a typical "fragrance ritual", contributing to the completion of a 5-star experience imbued with Vietnamese culture.
From the original scent, artist Rei Nguyen and his team continued to research and develop unique scent variations, suitable for each service space, ensuring a unified identity and harmonious experience across the entire Vietnam Airlines system. In the future, these variations will be deployed at touch points such as business lounges and aircraft restrooms, contributing to the completion of a complete flight journey, where each sense is meticulously cared for.

More than a scent, LotuScent is the breath of Vietnamese culture lifted up with the wings of Vietnam Airlines, where the scents and colors from all over the country blend together to create a unique symphony: "Elegance". With that journey, Vietnam Airlines promises to bring sophistication, emotion and dedication to serving customers with all its heart.
