Roads closed in Hanoi from August 7 to August 10

From August 7 to August 10, in Hanoi, a number of activities took place to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution, the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam on September 2, and the For a Peaceful Capital Festival; Hanoi Police will direct traffic and organize directions for all types of vehicles.

Roads where vehicles are completely banned: From 4:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. on August 7, from 7:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on August 8 and from 6:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on August 9 and 10, vehicles are banned on the following roads: Dinh Tien Hoang, Le Lai (from Ly Thai To to Dinh Tien Hoang), Le Thach, Dinh Le, Nguyen Xi, Trang Tien (from Dinh Tien Hoang to Ngo Quyen), Ngo Quyen (from Trang Tien to Le Lai), Ly Thai To (from Tran Nguyen Han to Le Lai), Hang Khay, Le Thai To, Hang Dau (from Lo Su to Dinh Tien Hoang), Lo Su (from Hang Dau to Dinh Tien Hoang), Dong Kinh Nghia Thuc Square, Tran Nguyen Han (from Ly Thai To to Dinh Tien Hoang), Luong Van Can (from Hang Hanh to Le Thai To), Bao Khanh (from Bao Khanh alley to Le Thai To), Hang Bai (from Hai Ba Trung to Hang Khay), Ba Trieu (from Hai Ba Trung to Hang Khay), State Bank Square (halfway to the flower garden of King Ly Thai To Monument).

Temporarily banned and restricted routes: From 4:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. on August 7, from 7:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on August 8 and from 6:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on August 9 and August 10, temporarily banning cargo vehicles with a cargo weight of 500 kg or more, passenger vehicles with 16 seats or more (except buses, garbage collection vehicles, incident response vehicles, vehicles with security badges) and restricting private cars and motorbikes from operating on some routes: Ngo Quyen, Ly Thai To, Tran Nguyen Han, Nguyen Huu Huan, Le Lai, Ba Trieu, Hang Bai, Ly Thuong Kiet, Tran Hung Dao, Hai Ba Trung, Le Thanh Tong, Phan Chu Trinh, Tran Quang Khai, Tran Khanh Du, Pho Hue , Hang Bong, Hang Gai, Hang Trong, Nha Tho, Nha Chung, Quang Trung.

During the above period, Hanoi City Police organize directions for vehicles under temporary ban and restriction as follows: Vehicles from wards and communes in the East and Northeast of Hanoi (Gia Lam, Long Bien, Phuc Loi, Viet Hung...) to wards and communes in the West and Northwest of the city (Hai Ba Trung, Dong Da, Tu Liem, O Dien...): go through Nhat Tan bridge, Long Bien bridge, Vinh Tuy bridge, Thanh Tri bridge - go to Dike 401, Tran Nhat Duat, Yen Phu, Thanh Nien, Vo Chi Cong, Ring Road III and vice versa.

Vehicles from wards and communes in the North of Hanoi city (Tay Ho, Dong Anh...) to wards and communes in the South of the city (Hoang Mai, Thanh Tri...): go through Nhat Tan bridge, Thang Long bridge - go to Vo Chi Cong, Pham Van Dong, Pham Hung, Ring Road II, Ring Road III... and vice versa.

For other routes and vehicles, comply with the regulations on the operation of vehicles in Hanoi issued under Decision No. 06/2013/QD-UBND dated January 25, 2013 of the Hanoi People's Committee (amended and supplemented by Decision No. 24/2020/QD-UBND dated October 2, 2020 of the Hanoi People's Committee) and other regulatory documents of competent authorities.

Hanoi City Police requested the Department of Construction to base on the traffic flow announcement to direct functional units to adjust bus routes, limit operations on the routes according to the announcement; and temporarily stop keeping vehicles on the above streets. At the same time, all vehicles participating in traffic must voluntarily and strictly comply with the Law on Traffic Safety and Order and follow the instructions and flow of the functional forces.

The City Police Department announces to all traffic participants to know, comply, choose appropriate travel routes and support the Police force in completing their tasks.
