As the leading sports training center in the country, the Hanoi National Sports Training Center performs the task of managing and organizing services for national teams, youth teams, and serving competitions in major arenas such as SEA Games, Asian Games, Olympics, etc.
The teams are well taken care of at the National Sports Training Center in Hanoi.
The total number of people trained at the Center since the beginning of the year is 1,297, belonging to 56 national teams and youth teams, including: 16 experts, 188 coaches, 1,093 athletes. Of which, there are 40 teams and 16 youth teams. The Center has also coordinated well with the Departments of Culture, Sports and Tourism such as the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Hanoi , the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Hai Phong... to manage and promptly serve the training teams in the localities.
Notably, in the past year, the teams participated in 66 international competitions, winning 79 gold medals, 51 silver medals, and 45 bronze medals. Of which, at the 32nd SEA Games, held in Cambodia, 32 teams trained at the Center competed and won 197/359 total medals of the Vietnamese Sports Delegation, in which the athletes won 83/136 gold medals, 46/105 silver medals, and 69/118 bronze medals.
There are 5 teams that have completed their tasks excellently, exceeding the target: Judo, Wushu, Women's Freestyle Wrestling, Kun Bokabor, Aerobic, there are 15 teams that have completed their tasks well, reaching the set target. However, there are still some teams that have not completed the target, need to make efforts in the coming time.
The conference was held on the morning of January 30, at the National Sports Training Center in Hanoi.
At the 19th Asian Games, held in Hangzhou - China, 21 teams trained at the Center competed and won 20/27 total medals of the Vietnamese Sports Delegation, in which the athletes won 3/3 gold medals, 4/5 silver medals and 13/19 bronze medals. The teams that completed and exceeded the set targets included: Sepak Takraw, Shooting, Karate, Taekwondo, Gymnastics, JuJitsu, Wushu, Women's Volleyball, Women's Football.
In addition to professional work, the Center has also ensured adequate facilities, equipment, playgrounds, training facilities, housing, and transportation for the teams; dispatched doctors, nurses, and medical staff to take care of the teams. The Center's medical team has also examined and treated injuries for 1,576 people; coordinated with the Vietnam Sports Hospital to examine and provide specialized treatment for 162 cases; conducted initial health checks for 32 teams and national youth teams including 587 athletes and coaches.
Teams continue to train hard to prepare for international competitions in 2024.
In order to create a green, clean and beautiful environment for athletes, the Center has also ensured environmental sanitation, epidemic prevention and food safety; proactively sprayed insecticide periodically, and carried out timely disinfection according to regulations. Therefore, even during the tense Covid-19 period, the Center still ensured safety factors in epidemic prevention and ensured training for athletes. The achievements of the Vietnamese Sports Delegation at the 31st SEA Games have proven that.
Director of the Hanoi National Sports Training Center Nguyen Manh Hung said that in 2024, the Hanoi National Sports Training Center has an important task of preparing the force to compete in the 2024 Olympics and other international competitions. "All officers, civil servants and employees of the Center are making efforts to carry out their tasks, taking good care of the athletes from food, accommodation, meals, sleep to training so that the athletes can compete at their best and complete the tasks assigned by the industry," Mr. Nguyen Manh Hung emphasized.
