These days, Mr. Pham Xuan Dich's family (Nam Son village, Thinh Loc commune, Thach Ha) is working in the fields to harvest 6 sao of spring peanuts.
Mr. Dich shared: “For about 3 days now, some of my family’s early-sown peanut fields have been harvested. The L14 peanut variety was planted by my family in mid-December. Thanks to careful care and favorable weather, this year’s yield is quite high, estimated at 1.5-1.7 quintals/sao. After deducting expenses, my family expects to earn 3.5-4 million VND/sao.”

Not far away, Mr. Pham Thu (Nam Son village) is also busy harvesting peanuts. "Thanks to timely production, using the main peanut varieties with few pests and diseases, this year's crop of peanuts in my family has grown well, with a yield of over 1.5 tons/sao. Currently, I have harvested more than 1 sao, and it is expected that in 10-15 days, my family's 4 sao will be completed" - Mr. Thu said.
According to statistics from the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Thach Ha district, this spring crop, the whole district produced 977 hectares of peanuts, concentrated in the following localities: Thinh Loc, Loc Ha town, Thach My, Thach Chau... Currently, peanut production areas have officially been harvested. This year, people still prioritize using key varieties with high yields such as L14, TV25, peanuts, chrysanthemum peanuts... The expected yield is 25.5-26 quintals/ha. According to records, fresh peanuts are currently being purchased at 18,000 - 20,000 VND/kg, dried peanuts dried for 2-3 days are priced at 25,000 - 27,000 VND/kg. This price is considered equivalent to last year.

At this time, many peanut growing areas in communes such as Tung Chau, Tung Anh, Bui La Nhan... (Duc Tho district) have also begun harvesting.
Mr. Dau Thanh Tinh - Vice Chairman of Tung Chau Commune People's Committee shared: "Currently, the whole commune has harvested 30% of the total area of 165 hectares of spring peanuts. The harvest time is expected to last about 15-20 days. This year, thanks to favorable weather and proper care, the yield is estimated at 3 tons/ha, the purchase price is stable, so people are very excited".
In the 2025 spring peanut crop, Duc Tho district planted more than 800 hectares of spring peanuts, mainly varieties such as: L14, peanut fat, TK10, V79... According to information from the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Duc Tho district, up to now, the peanut harvest area in the whole district is estimated at 25%, the yield is estimated at about 27-29 quintals/ha. In highland areas with suitable soil conditions, the yield can reach 30-32 quintals/ha.

In the coastal area of Thach Van commune (Ha Tinh city), with the advantage of sandy coastal soil, suitable for growing crops, many areas of spring peanuts in 2025 have begun to yield high yields.
Mr. Nguyen Van Toan (Tan Van village, Thach Van commune) shared: “According to the plan, my family will start harvesting spring peanuts in about a week. However, the rain at the end of May made the ground wet, so we decided to harvest early to avoid the peanuts being waterlogged and damaged. Currently, my family's more than 1.5 sao of spring peanuts are yielding well, after deducting expenses, we expect to earn 4-5 million VND.”

According to Mr. Nguyen Van Bang - Vice Chairman of Thach Van Commune People's Committee: "Currently, the people in the commune have "started" harvesting spring peanuts with an estimated progress of 20% on a total area of 138 hectares. To ensure the quality of peanuts, the locality has urged and instructed people to harvest early the areas affected by extreme weather in the past few days. For other areas, it is expected that they will start harvesting simultaneously in the next 3-5 days".
According to information from the provincial Department of Cultivation and Plant Protection, in the 2025 spring peanut crop, the whole province will produce more than 6,450 hectares of peanuts. Up to now, some localities with large areas such as Thach Ha (977 hectares), Nghi Xuan (951 hectares), Duc Tho (800 hectares), Cam Xuyen (822 hectares) ... have started harvesting with an estimated progress of 20-25%. According to initial assessments, this year's spring peanut yield is expected to reach an average of 27-28 quintals/ha, equivalent to 2024. Professionals recommend that farmers proactively monitor weather developments to promptly harvest to ensure the yield and quality of spring peanuts.
