After the merger, the movement of farmers competing in production and good business in Hoi Thinh commune developed strongly, spreading widely to each residential area. With the spirit of diligence, creativity, solidarity and helping each other to get rich, many farmer members have risen up to develop a sustainable economy, actively contributing to the construction of new and improved rural areas in the locality.

From a purely agricultural commune with many difficulties in people's lives, up to now, the rural appearance of Hoi Thinh commune has changed a lot. That is the result of the continuous efforts of the Party Committee, the government and the core role of the Farmers' Association. Currently, the Association has 4,679 members operating in 28 branches. To encourage and motivate members to enthusiastically compete in labor production and strive to get rich, after the merger, the Farmers' Association has focused on propagating and guiding members to innovate their thinking and working methods, actively transforming the structure of crops, livestock and seasons; exploiting the potential and strengths of land, labor, capital investment; boldly applying new techniques and technologies to production.

Identifying agricultural economic development as a sustainable direction, the Commune Farmers' Association coordinated with specialized sectors to organize many training courses, transfer science and technology, and guide members to produce in the direction of commodities, safety, and environmental friendliness. The Association proactively coordinated with enterprises, specialized agencies, technical staff, and scientists to guide and support members in building and replicating effective agricultural production models, applying scientific and technical advances, and biotechnology suitable to local conditions. The Association supported members in consulting, building and developing brands for 2 key agricultural products; 1 product was recognized as meeting 3-star OCOP standards, contributing to enhancing the value and competitiveness of local agricultural products.

The model of growing melons in greenhouses of Mr. Nguyen Van Son's family brings high economic efficiency.

In addition, the Association coordinates to guide members to participate in high-quality rice production models, build and replicate green, organic, circular agriculture models, and apply high technology to initially bring economic efficiency, contributing to the restructuring of the local agricultural economy.

The Commune Farmers' Association also actively coordinated with the Social Policy Bank and the Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development to implement credit guarantees, support members in borrowing capital to develop production and business, contributing to limiting the situation of high-interest loans and black credit in rural areas. Currently, the Association is managing 24 loan groups with a total outstanding debt of about 60 billion VND, creating conditions for 1,125 member households to borrow capital. The management and capital recovery work is carried out in accordance with the process, ensuring safety and efficiency. At the same time, the Commune Farmers' Support Fund reached 1.9 billion VND, disbursed to 4 projects with 43 participating households, contributing practically to expanding production models, increasing income and stabilizing the lives of members.

Farmer member Tran Van Binh, Van Tap village, Hoi Thinh commune, invested in raising pigeons, creating stable jobs for many local workers.

A typical example is Mr. Tran Van Binh, a farmer member of Van Tap village, who has boldly invested in building a farm to raise nearly 20,000 pigeons. Thanks to applying modern breeding processes, ensuring environmental hygiene and proactively managing product output, Mr. Binh's model not only brings a stable income to his family but also creates regular jobs for 7 local workers, with an average income of 6 - 7 million VND/person/month.

Many other households in the area have also actively changed the crop and livestock structure to suit the actual conditions. Many hilly areas have been used to grow fruit trees, forestry trees, combined with breeding buffalo and cows; growing safe vegetables, tea, cassava... helping to increase the value per unit of cultivated area.

Along with the production emulation movement, the Commune Farmers' Association organized training on start-up skills, guidance on brand building and connecting product consumption. The movement "Farmers join hands to build new rural areas" was widely deployed, members set an example by donating land, contributing working days to build roads, cultural houses, and canals in the fields, contributing to changing the appearance of the countryside to become more spacious and clean.

Comrade Nguyen Hong Thuy - Chairman of the Farmers' Association of Hoi Thinh commune said: "In the coming time, the Association will continue to mobilize cadres and members to promote creativity and proactively link to develop the economy. At the same time, replicate typical models, contributing to improving income and life for local farmers."

The movement of farmers competing in production and economic development in Hoi Thinh commune is creating a strong influence, affirming the role of farmers in building a civilized and prosperous new countryside.
