Having been involved in agricultural production for many years, at the end of 2022, Mr. Doan Duc Thanh, Director of Ha Thanh Agricultural Service Cooperative (Hung Ha district, Thai Binh province) decided to completely switch to producing safe agricultural products. Along with renovating the farm to raise black chickens for meat and eggs, Mr. Thanh also converted hundreds of Dien grapefruit trees of his family to specialized cultivation according to VietGap standards so that the products are of high quality and bring sustainable economic efficiency. Due to production according to the process and strict inspection, at first, finding output for the products also encountered many difficulties. However, up to now, the products of Ha Thanh Agricultural Service Cooperative have gradually gained a foothold in the market. Talking to us, Mr. Doan Duc Thanh shared: “Initially, there were few buyers and most of the customers were regulars, friends, and neighbors. Because our product standards are higher, the price is also a bit higher, but gradually customers get used to it and accept to buy it because it is safe food.”

Also attached to safe agricultural products, Ms. Nguyen Nhu Phuong (Nha Trang City, Khanh Hoa ) has been successful with a store model that provides clean foods such as meat, eggs, fish, green vegetables, etc. The products that Ms. Phuong imports and sells are safe foods taken from cooperatives and production facilities that have been certified by VietGAP, ensuring food safety such as Khanh Son durian, Ninh Dong safe vegetables (Ninh Hoa town), Khanh Vinh green-skin grapefruit, etc. Therefore, Ms. Phuong's store has gradually won the trust of customers. "Consumers are increasingly concerned about health issues, so safe food is the choice of many housewives. Instead of focusing on price and quantity like before, many people now put the quality and safety of the product first. That is the condition for us to continue expanding the model of providing clean foods," Ms. Phuong confided.
From a consumer's perspective, Ms. Tran Thi Hoa in Hoan Kiem district ( Hanoi ) said: "Nowadays, eating and consuming food also has many problems such as bad food, dirty food, chemically treated food, etc. Therefore, even though agricultural products and food sold at traditional markets are cheaper, I always prioritize clean food items, safe agricultural products with clear origins as a way to protect the health of myself and my family."

In fact, in the past, most consumers were often interested in the price of agricultural products, and paid little attention to their origin. This made farmers, cooperatives, and production facilities hesitant to invest in organic agricultural development. However, consumers now have a more objective view and often seek to buy clean agricultural products. This change has opened up a new direction for many cooperatives and production linkage groups towards sustainable development, combining the profits of producers and the health of consumers.
In many localities across the country, due to the increasing demand for clean, organic food among the people, farmers' production direction has gradually changed, focusing on investing in greenhouses and closed houses to grow vegetables, melons and short-term fruit and leafy plants. The effectiveness of these models all has the advantage that farmers can easily regulate the amount of water and control diseases. With the increasingly high quality of agricultural products, meeting the strict regulations of large distribution channels and the increasingly expanding consumer market, the farmers' economy has also been increasingly improved. Production models and safe food supply chains are therefore increasingly "blooming", becoming an effective trend in the development of agricultural production today in many provinces and cities.
Social life is increasingly developing, the demand for safe agricultural products and clean products of consumers is increasing. Safe agricultural products and clean products have affirmed their quality and have a stable position in the market.
