On the morning of May 21, the People's Committee of Nong Son district organized a conference to deploy and guide the collection of voters' opinions on the Project on rearranging district-level administrative units for the period 2023-2025 for representatives of departments, People's Committees of communes and towns, and Heads and secretaries of the Voter Collection Group of 29 villages and residential groups in the district.
At the conference, delegates focused on grasping a number of contents such as: organizing the collection of voters' opinions, the content of the collection of voters' opinions; making and posting the voter list; making estimates, managing, using and settling the budget for the arrangement of administrative units; information and propaganda work on the arrangement of administrative units.
According to the master plan No. 1293/PA-UBND dated February 27, 2024 of the People's Committee of Quang Nam province, the arrangement plan for Nong Son and Que Son districts, specifically as follows: merge the entire natural area and population of 2 districts: Nong Son (natural area is 471.64 km2 , reaching 55.49% of the standard; population 35,438 people, reaching 44.23% of the standard) Que Son district (area 257.46 km2 , reaching 57.21% of the standard; population 104,128 people, reaching 86.77% of the standard) to establish a new district-level administrative unit.
The name of the new district administrative unit is Que Son, the working headquarters is expected to be located in Que Son district.
